Brittany's Baptism 2.28.10

Brittany made the decision to be baptized on February 28th, 2010.  She went thru the baptism book from our church and also met with our church's youth minister Amanda.  We were so proud of Brittany!  We invited several family members and friends to be part of Brittany's life decision.  Here are several pictures from our day of celebration!
poor Clay was white as a ghost (he was sick!!!!) but he didn't want to miss Brittany's baptism for anything!

Grandma Christie 2.22.10

My Mama's birthday was on February 22nd.  Grandma passed away in 2008 and her birthdays should be getting easier.  I can honestly say that I was a very busy girl yesterday, but my thoughts often wandered to my sweet Grandma.  I truly miss her!  I know she is in a better place and she is now painfree, but I still miss her the same!  Here's to you, Grandma!!!

Donkey Tales Church Choir Program 2.21.10

Brittany was in our church's choir program Donkey Tales.  She didn't want a singing solo or a drama part.  Instead she participated in a dance number and dressed up as a teacher.
Miss Britt, the teacher!
The program turned out really well.  The kids had fun and we had a good time watching all the rehearsal time come together!!!!

Madi's 8th Birthday Party Feb. 2010

We headed to Chris and Deanna's to celebrate Madilyn's 8th birthday.  Her cake was AWESOME!  The soccer girl was made out of fondant (I know what fondant is by watching Cake Boss) so she was completely edible.  The 3 dimensional soccer ball was made out of chocolate cake!  Very cool cake!

Frost and God's perfect touch 2.12.10

The morning of February 12th, everything was covered in icy snow and the sky was full of fog.  Here are some pics from work, before and after sunrise.  The above picture shows some icicles covered in snowy covering.  You can barely see the grain leg in the distance due to the fog.
Before sunrise, how gorgeous is this bush???  I love the way the branches are covered and the background almost looks blue!
I am a sucker for antiques so this rusty windchime was screaming for me to take its picture!
After sunrise, this perfectly-shaped Maple tree looks so pretty!  It amazes me that God shows so much beauty every season.  This tree looks good in the Spring with new leaves, perfectly green in the Summer, a beautiful shade of yellow in the Fall, and then to see this in the Winter!
Once again, the antiquey touch of an old wooden porch swing covered with winter's snowy delight!
