Pam's Baby Shower 5.17.09

The kids and I headed down to Rushville this past weekend for Pam's baby shower. Saturday evening we went to dinner at Denny & Carole's. Chris has always been able to get away with holding Kennedy. Kennedy is super into checking facial features out right now. This pic shows her checking out Uncle Chris!!! Kennedy is "putting up" with us all passing her around, so we took as many pics as we could get this weekend! HA!

Here are the cousins from the Miller side (minus Kennedy and soon-to-be Baby Peggs).

The shower was a big success and there were lots of people and lots of cool stuff for Pam, Jay, and the baby-to-be. I LOVED the pink dress Pam had on.

Backyard Baseball at Mike & Sandi's

After church on Mother's Day we headed to Mike and Sandi's for lunch. We enjoyed a delicious meal and then headed outside to soak up some of the great weather. Mike started playing baseball with the kids and somehow Deanna and I got involved as well! We had a fun time and the kids couldn't believe that I could actually hit the ball! I'm pretty sure I should take that as an insult but instead I just had to show those kids that the Miller's used to play backyard ball all the time. Madi and Brayden got to experience batting, running the bases, and playing outfield.

Mother's Day Weekend with Madilyn & Brayden

This year for Mother's Day Chris, Deanna, and the kids came up. Mother's Day can be challenging for me every since I lost my Mom in 2006, so it was FABULOUS that Deanna could work it out to come up. Can anyone say, distraction??? Ha! The weather was really nice and they got to watch Brittany's 1st softball game. The top photo is the kids dressed up for church. Look how big they are getting (Brittany 8, Madi 7, Clay 6, and Brayden 4). They got in the hot tub, well most of them got in the hot tub. Brayden will at least put his feet in now, maybe next time

he will get his whole body in!

Softball Summer 2009

Softball game 5.9.09

Britt made the leap from coaches' pitch baseball to softball this season. Brittany has taken quite the interest in pitching and Coach Taylor is letting her pitch. Here are some pics from the 1st game and Britt's 1st pitching experience!!!!

Clay got this camo suit from Uncle G and Aunt Ali for Christmas last year. I just wanted to post a pic of him still "loving" the Air Force suit!

Brooklyn (one of Britt's best friends) spent the night a couple weekends ago. Papa Mike came over and played basketball with the kids. Of course, Chad couldn't resist taking a few shots!

Baseball 2009

Britt caught this great pic of Clay's 1st at bat this year. If you look really close you can see the white blur of the baseball and the red blur of the bat as Clay is making contact! GREAT PIC BRITT! Clay got 2 hits this game and they won with a late rally!

New Fire Truck for Dad's Fire Dept.

Dad's volunteer fire dept. just purchased a new fire truck, a very cool event for the grandkids. We stopped by during the training session. I love the pic of Brayden carefully weighing the pros and cons of actually climbing into the fire truck! Too cute! As you can see from the pics, he decided to join the others!
