My Fender Bender (literally!) 4-18-09

I was involved in a car accident over the weekend. First, no one was hurt. Second, neither the kids or Chad was with me. Third, look at my poor Edge! I LOVE my Edge and I hate it that it looks like this! The appraisal meeting is set for this Wednesday so I won't know how long it will take to repair but hopefully it won't take too long! Although I think it was clearly the other driver's fault they have yet to determine fault for the accident. I am supposed to hear about that today.

Miss Britt's Wax Museum April 09

Our Britt as Jacque O (can't believe how different Brittany looks with black hair!)

In 2nd grade Britt had to do a big project about a historical figure and at the end of the project they would portray their character in a wax museum. This project included a memorized speech, Power Point presentation, research, etc. I was very proud of myself for making the pill box hat out of cardboard and fur! HA!

Connor was Paul Revere. Here is a video of his speech. Too cute!

They did such a good job!!!

Easter 2009

We celebrated Easter at Chris & Deanna's house. Easter fell on Brayden's actual birthday, so we combined an egg hunt with some birthday cake! My birthday is on the 16th so we celebrated mine also.

I can see Madi's missing tooth! Madi surpassed my kids & has already lost her 1st tooth!

This is Brayden spinning round & round after he opened his Ninendo DS!
Uncle Mike playing the wii for the 1st time with Clay.

Max, oh, Max! After everyone left, Deanna & I were finishing cleaning up the kitchen, so Chris walked over to get Max from Scott & Heather's backyard (where he was in a fenced-in yard). Max obviously had gotten into some mischief! Max tried to dig his way under the fence! Here's a pic of the damage done to Max, no pic available of the hole!

Miller Wedding April 09

A rare sibling photo! Susie, Deanna, a prego Pam, and Kenny posing at the reception.

Britt and Papa Miller chilling at the reception. For anyone that knows my Dad, growing up Dad would not allow any photos of himself to be taken. Look what a cute blonde can accomplish!

My cousin David's stepdaughter got married on 4.11.09. Here are some pics from the wedding reception and some video of the kids dancing. Clay was in Converse at the OH baseball clinic. Brayden doing the Hokey Pokey was priceless! The video is a little dark, but too good not to post! I love that my camera records video and sound!

Stacey

One of my favorite people in this world is Stacey Johnston. We met the 1st day of moving into the dorm at Purdue (Fall 1994). Our friendship means so much to me. In my busy life (much like everyone else) true friends are few and far between. I talked to Stac yesterday on the phone a couple of times as we are trying to schedule "getting together" for our upcoming birthdays. Although we don't have to talk daily or even weekly on the phone, when we talk I feel like she knows everything about me. She knows by the sound of my voice whether my day is going well or bad. Friends like that are ones to cherish and celebrate! Just wanted to tell you Stac how much your friendship means to me! Love you-Girl!

Kennedy and Kim

I went to Rville this past weekend to see my Dad and the rest of my family. Mary and Kenny brought the girls over. Kennedy is now 5 mths. old and I cannot resist taking pics of this beautiful creature. Her perfect skin and the hair and the eyes, etc. etc.! Kennedy isn't just chilling out in these pics, she actually sleeps with her arms behind her head! To anyone that knows my hatred for feet, this pic was hard to take but Kennedy is seriously flexible!

I met Kim and her family for lunch on Sunday. SO great to catch up with them. After lunch when we were saying our goodbye's Sara told me that when they see me it is part of being home again. I couldn't have said it better. Alot of my childhood was spent with Kim and her family. I am very glad to be back in touch with Kim!
It was a great weekend to catch up with Jay, Pam, Deanna, Madi, Brayden, Kenny, Mary, Kennedy, Morgan, Uncle Mike and Dad.

Spring Break 2009 IV

Part 4
As we took a walk on the beach we saw some really cool sand sculptures. The octopus was my favorite but the kids really liked the mermaid and the alligator.

From left, the mermaid has seaweed hair, eyes, smile, and a shell bra.

The alligator complete with a "fence" surrounding it and shells for teeth.
Beach Babe Britt posing for me! It's hard to see some of these pictures because she looks so big! Actually Britt looks like a young lady not so kid-like! Can't believe she is 8!

Clay asked me to take this picture of his beard! One of the few pics that he isn't smiling! Clay has a perfect picture smile! Clay LOVED the gulf water-cold or not; waves or not. This was Clay's 1st year not wearing his floaties in the pool. I had ALOT of anxiety about this fact but Clay seriously doesn't need them. Clay just completed 5 days of swimming at school, so he was ready.

Tina feeding the birds. Chad participating in the bird feast!

Mr. Mike Brumley is seriously a funny guy. Mike likes wearing his speedo, smoking cigars, reading his book, and catching some rays during vacations. I have never been on vacation with someone that wears a speedo. The looks people gave Mike were priceless! I really wish I would have gotten a picture of some older ladies checking him out!

Mike mixing up some beverages. Kyle and Mike hanging out in the hot tub.

Half of Chad's vacation attire was Oak Hill!

Britt got a hair wrap

Brooke loving on her Daddy

Britt and Connor made the announcement before we left for Spring Break that they were girlfriend/boyfriend. Not sure what the title means at this age but they are cute. They each wanted to get the other something. The above picture is the "exchange" and the pic below is the smile of a girl that just received some jewelry (a pink necklace with a gem palm tree!).

All in all, we had a great vacation-lots of fun in the sun, lots of laughs, and spending time hanging out together. Let's do it again next year!
