Trey and IPFW vs. Purdue 12.22.08

Mike, Sandi, Chad and I traveled to West Lafayette to watch Chad's cousin play basketball. Trey #44 started for IPFW and we think he played around 12-13 minutes (not bad for a freshman!). #15 Purdue did win the game but it was very neat as a Purdue alumni to see our Trey play at Mackey Arena. At 6'10" he looks big even on the big floor!
Here are the family members that traveled to Purdue to watch Trey. From top left: Jason, Brian, Phil, Chad, Janice, TREY, Donnie, Brock From bottom left: Mike, Sandi, Susie, Kelly, Cassie, Mary

McCorkle and Brumley Families Dec 08

After some prompting I got my husband to agree to take this family pic. I LOVE the way our church decorates for Christmas and I couldn't resist the photo op!

Our friends the Brumley's came to watch Britt's program so we posed them as well!

Thanks guys for being good sports!

Brittany's Choir Program 12.21.08

Brittany was in a choir production of "Miracle on Main Street" at our church this past Sunday. The choir has been practicing for months and they did so well! Britt volunteered for a speaking part and she had her part memorized to a "t". We are so proud of how well she did! She simply looked beautiful! She is going to be 8 on Christmas Day and she is looking like a young lady now instead of a our little girl!

Busy Saturday-Britt's Hoop Shoot Contest & McCorkle Christmas 08

Brittany competed in a Hoop Shoot Contest at the Marion Gym on Saturday 12-13-08. She qualified during gym at school and represented her elementary school at the contest. She came in 4th! We were very happy considering it was her 1st time competing and she was technically 7 yrs old and there were 10 yr. olds in her division. Chad was a proud papa! She was really shy at 1st since she shoots granny, but she warmed up and even made a friend! Here's my 1st blog video!

Saturday evening we had McCorkle Christmas. It was fun to get together. For the 1st time in several years all the brothers/sisters were home so here is a rare family photo.

Disney on Ice December 2008

Aunt Pam and Uncle Jay took all the kids (minus baby Kennedy) to see Disney on Ice as their Christmas present. Everyone had a good time! Thanks for the fun and the memories!

Miller Christmas 2008

We had Miller Christmas on 12.13.08. We were all able to catch up with each other. I got a chance to see my new baby niece again! For some reason I didn't get any pictures of Jay and Pam with Kennedy. Here are some pics from our day.

This picture of the 2nd generation cousins just makes me smile. Growing up I was very close to my cousins and I love it that my kids know their Rville cousins.

Christmas 2008 with Ali,Jerry,Alayna,Jared

Alicia made me beads for 2 bracelets! One with sunflowers that I love! A snowman note pad (seen in above photo!) some new jammies and some homemade cinnamon candles that smell great!

I got Alicia a Women of Faith devotional. Hopefully it is a good one!

Chad got a Bears Hall of Fame banner. Look at that smile!

Clay's favorite present by far was this Ohio State Football set. It came with a felt field, offense/defense players, goal posts, and referees. He hasn't stopped playing with it since!

Jerry and Alicia visited us at the end of November and beginning of December. We had Christmas with them the night before they traveled h0me. Here are some pics from our gift exchange. We got Alayna a talking Jesus! He tells several Bible stories, very cool! I LOVE being able to say that I got Alayna Jesus for Christmas! I think everyone enjoyed what they received and I was glad we were able to spend some time with them!

Christmas Tree O Christmas Tree Year 2008

As any of you with children know, allowing the kids to decorate the tree is not only a lesson in patience but also restraint! At one point we thought the tree could touple over since all the ornaments were all on one side and all at their level! HA! We tried for 45 minutes to get this picture for Sandi. You might not think it looks like a posed picture but I tell you it was! At the point that this pic was taken we were happy that all 4 grandkids were in the photo and they were all looking forward! My, great Christmas memories!?!!?!

Oak Hill Basketball 2008

Alayna & Jared are experiencing Indiana basketball for the 1st time. My kids go to games all the time so it is so funny to hear the comments from 1st timers!

Alayna: Aunt Susie, can we buy popcorn and eat it during the game?
Susie: Of course, and we can buy candy too!

This conversation was so funny! Alayna was so excited to not only get popcorn and suckers but to be able to take them into the game was almost too much for her!

It was fun but kind of short lived! Once the popcorn and the suckers were gone, the kids were over it! I am still glad I got to be there for their 1st OH game!

Hangin' Out with Aunt Ali,Alayna & Jared Dec 2008

Britt and Aunt Ali loving each other!

We have been having fun spending time with Aunt Ali, Alayna, & Jared. Here are some really good pics! Look at those baby blues on these boys!

I do believe this picture screams "Dancing Queens!"

Alayna & Jared Visit November 2008

I'm not sure what the peace symbols are about, but obviously it was the cool thing to do. Clay loves Jared!

Thanksgiving 2008

Madi loves her Grandpa!

Madi feeding Baby Kennedy!

Papa Miller and his new grandbaby!

The "Kid" Table (minus Britt)

I have Thanksgiving at my house every year and we had some new additions this year. Pam and Jay brought Jay's parents-Denny and Carole, and his uncle Forrest. We also had some missing family members! Trey, Chad's cousin, stopped by. My uncle celebrated this year with my Papa at home and of course, we missed my Mama that just passed away. I don't know why but missing her made me miss my Mom even more than normal. Those 2 ladies meant so much to our family that I guess it is a true legacy to their memory that they are so sorely missed. I have LOTS of pics of Kennedy from her 1st Thanksgiving. It was the 1st time I have seen her since she was born. You gotta love her rocker hair! Here are several pics from our day. Other than my hiney injury the day was a great one!
Uncle Chris and Kennedy
Aunt Deanna and Britt holding Kennedy
Britt and Clay cuddling and feeding their baby cousin
Aunt Susie with Baby Kennedy-I got her a 1st Thanksgiving bib and a very cute knit hat!
Kennedy has her Daddy wrapped around her little finger. It was amazing seeing Kennedy react to her Daddy feeding her. In the one pic, she is holding onto Kenny! I am sure that we all pale in comparison!!! Well, maybe Mommy and Morgan are pretty important too!
Thanks to Morgan for sharing her sister all day long!
