Happy St. Patrick's Day 2009

Happy St. Patty's Day everyone! Every day at school one of Clay's classmates is picked as student of the day-which equals bringing in show & tell and the snack. Clay's day is today! We went all out and he wore a clover tie (that we had from preschool). Britt wore green as well-Peace, Baby! For the snack we bought the iced sugar cookies with little shamrock sprinkles.

Everyone enjoy your 70 degree day!

1986 PROM at the Boswell's 3.7.09

Chad and I were invited to a 1986 themed Prom at Chip & Beth Boswell's house. 80's attire was expected and from the pics you can tell, everyone participated! Chad went the Miami Vice route with black pants and shirt covered with a pale yellow blazer. I wear a black dress with black leggings (of course!), black patent leather heels, plastic bangle bracelets, some pearls, etc. I also had TONS of make up on, to anyone that knows me I don't normally wear very much so to have blue eye liner, bright pink eye shadow, etc. was a stretch for me! My hair was put in hot curlers, teased, and put up in a banana clip! If my eyes looked slainted, it is because they are! The banana clip seriously pulled my hair SOO tight! Thanks to Tina Brumley for my styling!

The ever romantic Britt was so excited that her Daddy and Mommy were going to Prom together!

There was a ton of dramatic dancing going on with the 80's music!

The King and Queen were announced as Jason & Laura Miller! LOVE the mullet!

The "King" posed with his Elvis Presley "King" lip impression!

Kevin & Katie dancing to "Total Eclipse of the Heart".

Sally and myself striking a pose!

DJ Chip and perfect hostess Beth coordinating the tunes.

I believe this "dance off" was during "Baby Got Back".

Chip getting his groove on!

Stephanie (as the PERFECT Madonna!) and Sally posing!

This is Corey finally getting the glow sticks open!

Chip and his 80's attire-need I say more? The rainbow plastic glasses speak for themselves!

Every Madonna has to sing "Like a Virgin". Cousin Trey leading the way!

Kevin and Katie slow dancing!

I was asked how to get Chad on the dance floor. I totally sold him out and told them all they had to play was "Cotton Eyed Joe" and he would start dancing. Not only did he dance, he didn't even hesitate! TOO funny!

Thanks Chip & Beth for a very memorable evening! It was fun from the beginning-trying to get our outfits together with trips to Goodwill until the end of coming to your house!

OH Girls Basketball State Game 3.7.09

Oak Hill Lady Eagles made their 2nd consecutive state appearance on Saturday. We were playing Heritage Christian (the same opponent as last year). The game was very close and OH was even leading what seemed like the most of the game. In overtime with seconds to go, Heritage Christian shot a fluke shot that just happened to go in. What a devastating end to a fabulous season! The OH girls team is a group of very stand up girls. Britt is still in awe of Ashley Pickering, but as a parent Britt could pick any of these girls to model after! THANKS for another great year Lady Eagles! Connor was able to go to State with us. Much to Clay's dismay the game was held at Lucas Oil Stadium. Clay's comments were priceless being the die-hard Bears fan that he is. First, as we were driving up he saw Peyton Manning's picture on the side of the stadium and "UUGGGGHHHH!", was his only comment. Second, Clay wore his Bears rain jacket and when he was asked if he was hot and wanted to take it off, his comeback was "I am NOT taking this off!" Last but not least, the concession lady made the Cardinal sin of asking Clay if he wanted a Colts souvenier cup, he yelled "NO, I don't want a Colts cup!" The final comment was followed by a nice lecture of "Let's have manners, little man!" Not sure what I expected from Clay but it was seriously funny!

New Addition to Cline Family 3.5.09

Max was featured on WWKI radio station yesterday as the pet of the day. I made some phone calls to Deanna and Chris and they came to Kokomo to adopt him. Normally, labrodoodles (am I spelling this right??) are pretty expensive so this was quite a steal to get Max from the Humane Society. Here are some pics from last night when Deanna, Chris, Madi, Brayden, and Max came over for dinner. Madi and Brayden LOVE dogs and have asked for one for a very long time but with Deanna's allergies a regular dog wasn't going to work.

Not quite a perfect pic but at least the whole family is present.

I hope I don't hurt your pride Max to show a pic while you are taking care of your business but this picture actually turned out with it being dark outside!

I was shocked at how tall Max is! I was thinking shorter legs!

Here is our darling Hester after the playdate with Max! Poor Baby!!!

Happy Birthday Chad!!!

Chad turns 34 today. Much to his delight, the boys' basketball sectional game is tonight. We celebrated with a dinner out to Red Lobster on Monday night with Mike & Sandi.

Baby Kennedy getting so BIG!

I went to Rushville last weekend for the whole weekend. The kids finished Upward basketball so we were able to go Friday and stay until Sunday, something we haven't done since bball started in November!! Mary brought Kennedy over for a visit and I was shocked at how big she is. I LOVE the cheeks! The boys (Clay & Brayden) weren't too much into posing for a picture with Kennedy, but Madi was up for it!!! I love the pic with Mary looking down at Kennedy and Kennedy looking up at her mama! Nothing compares to the love between mothers and their children. Kennedy gets along just fine with Papa Miller (actually she likes him better than me!) so I had to include a picture of them too!

Britt with Mike & Sandi

Britt is in 2nd grade and one theme they have been working on is family trees, grandparents, etc. We needed a pic of Britt with her grandparents for a Family Quilt. Here is a pic of Britt with Mama & Papa. It is too good of a picture not to post it!!!

Quick Trip to Omaha Feb '09

I got the chance to go out to Omaha to help Alicia and Jerry out from 2/19 thru 2/22/09. Jerry has been very sick (the last diagnosis is ulcerated colitis) and was put in the hospital. My main goal was to help her with the kids and around the house so she could spend as much time as possible at the hospital. As with everything else, there are God's blessings to be found in every situation. I have never gotten the chance to spend alone time with Alayna and Jared, so it was nice to have close to 4 days just hanging out with them in their home environment. I was able to watch Alayna open the birthday package that I had mailed from Indiana. The photo shows her modeling that present, a gymnastics leotard (matching Nike running suit not shown). I think it is safe to say that Alayna loved her present!!! I love the pic of Alayna and Jared. She was trying to pose and Jared thought she was tickling him!!! TOO CUTE! I love my Nebraska niece and nephew! On the Jerry front, he is feeling much better and has been home from the hospital for over a week now. Thank God for family and the chance to help each other out when life hands us a tough blow!

10 Year Anniversary 2.13.09

Chad and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary this year. Chad (a non-flower guy!) sent me 10 red roses for our special day. He has needed a new wedding band for quite awhile so that was my present for him. I can't believe it has been 10 years. Now, when I look at our wedding photos we look so young!!! I think it is quite an accomplishment to hit the 10 year mark and to still be counting!
