Chad & My Mexican Escape February 2011

Chad and I were given a free trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico by our employer.  The weather was horrible (as in ice storm!) in Indiana the day we were scheduled to fly out of Indy.  The trip was thru Beck's Hybrids so there were several hundred people in our group.  Beck's arranged for charter buses to take us to Louisville Airport and fly to Cancun from there.  It was quite an ordeal but it was worth it.  The above picture is the balcony view from our room.  Gorgeous!

I had to take a picture of this bag of coffee.  Chad and I are not coffee drinkers but the brand of coffee was "Britt".  I thought our Britt would get a kick out of that!
We are still not sure what these animals are.  There was a family that freely walked around the resort.
A puffed-pastry made into a swan!  It looked as good as it tasted!
Chad and I at the Brazilian restaurant on one of the last nights we were there, it was by far our favorite at the resort.  The servers brought out various kinds of meat on skewers.  Each person was given a card to flip-one side the server brought you the next meat or to stop serving.  My favorite was the turkey.
This tub was in our room situated by the balcony, Chad's favorite thing.
Chad chillin in the shade, you can't tell so much from this picture but he was FRIED.  I love the birdy hanging out on top of the umbrella.
Our resort was Moon Palace Resorts but we had privileges to several other properties.
In the Louisville Airport, I spotted 2 of my brother's friends, Danny and Jeremy.  We had fun hanging out with them during the week.  I was also surprised to find out the my Uncle Myron and Pam were also on the trip!  It was pretty crazy to walk up to a table in Mexico and see your Uncle sitting there!
We made some really good friends on the trip that live within 10 minutes of us!  CRAZY!  Shannon, above, dancing at the disco club!  He was a great dancer!
Chad, in his fav spot, the tub, you can all thank me later for the strategically placed bubbles!
I wish this picture wasn't so dark.  This is Angie and Shannon, our new friends!
Every time I saw this view, I just thought it looked fake.  It was so pretty!

We had a great trip.  The couple time was nice.  Chad and I run around so much with the kids in sports that we don't take alot of time to just be the 2 of us.  If we aren't at sports then we want to have family time.  The trip was at the beginning of February which was perfect since our 12 year anniversary was 2.13.11.  The weather was horrible back home but the kids were safe with Mike and Sandi.  I really missed the kids.  I was really ready to get back home to them.
